To be your wife

Here at the peak

mountain air and squirrels

drinking the snowy water

שֶׁתֵּדַע שֶׁאֲנִי

רַק כּוֹתֶבֶת שִׁירִים,

לֹא עוֹשָׂה קְנִיּוֹת

לֹא מְרִימָה סַלִּים,

מְזִיזָה יַבָּשׁוֹת

בִּיקוּם מַקְבִּיל,

עוֹלָה לַגַּג

וְאֵין בִּי

מַחְשְׁבוֹת אָבְדָן.

הָרְעָשִׁים נֶעֱלָמִים

בָּזֶה אַחַר זֶה.

מִתּוֹךְ רֵיחַ הַתַּפּוּז

צוֹמֵחַ עֵץ,

מִישֶׁהוּ מִסְתַּכֵּל

מִלְּמַעְלָה מַטָּה,

מִישֶׁהוּ בָּחַר בִּי

לִהְיוֹת לְךָ לְאִשָּׁה.

כָּאן בַּפִּסְגָּה

אֲוִיר הָרִים וּסְנָאִים

שׁוֹתִים מֵי שְׁלָגִים.
