Does the rose water peddler
?still call from underneath my window
,Whenever I asked
the villagers pointed
at the river, going through fields
,in circles of passion and yearning
.Your house is there, they said
,You waved goodbye
,the whispering sound of the water has risen
.the goddess of the sun stood barefoot in the water of the river
,She lost herself, becoming shards
,fractures and fractures

הַאִם מִי מִכֶּם רָאָה אֶת
בֵּיתִי?
היכן בֵּיתִי?
מוֹכֵר מֵי הַוְּרָדִים,
עוֹדוֹ קוֹרֵא תַּחַת חַלּוֹנִי?
כָּל אֵימַת שֶׁשָּׁאַלְתִּי
הִצְבִּיעוּ הַכַּפְרִיִּים
עַל הַנָּהָר הַחוֹצֶה שָׂדוֹת
בְּמַעְגְּלֵי תְּשׁוּקָה
וּכְמִיהָה
שם בֵּיתֵךְ אָמְרוּ.
נּוֹפַפְתָּ
לְשָׁלוֹם
לַחַשׁ הַמַּיִם עָלָה
אֵלַת הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ עָמְדָה יְחֵפָה
בְּמֵי הַנָּהָר
אִבְּדָה עַצְמָהּ רְסִיסִים
שְׁבָרִים שְׁבָרִים
בְּקִיעִים.
אַל תִּשְׁאֲלֵנִי לִשְׁלוֹמִי
לֹא אֲנִי נָגַעְתִּי בְּפָנֶיךָ
לֹא אֲנִי יָשַׁבְתִּי עַל
גְּדַת-הַנָּהָר
יִתָּכֵן דִּבַּרְתִּי אֵלֶיךָ
אַהֲבָה
אוֹ נוֹפַפְתִּי לְבוֹאֲךָ
עִתִּים נַעֲרָה,
ועִתִּים בְּשֵׂעָר מַאֲפִיר
שֶׁנְּשָׂאוּנִי הַיָּמִים
רָחוֹק מִמְּךָ.
